Today we celebrated the launch of our Indigenous Learning Space “Budinya Mraatu”.
The launch included a Welcome to Country by Aunty Michelle and a smoking ceremony by Uncle Doug. Along with this Aunty Michelle and our year 3/4 students explained the meaning of the ‘Craitbul’ story that our learning space represents.
A project such as this takes an enormous amount of planning and Ang (Eco Learning SSO) and Donna (ACEO) have led this from the beginning and have done a tremendous job in this space.
We welcomed special guests, visitors, families and friends and students spent the day planting and participating in cultural activities.
